THT-EX provides heat-ready hazardous-area lighting solutions for demanding industrial environments

High-Temperature Lighting Is Not One Single Problem

“High temperature” can describe several very different operating conditions—and each condition requires a different selection approach.

1. Summer Heat and Outdoor Exposure

Direct sunlight and high outdoor temperatures may affect driver stability, sealing materials and long-term fixture reliability.

2. High Ambient Temperature Near Process Heat Sources

Lighting installed near boilers, furnaces, distillation towers, reactors and hot pipe racks may be exposed to elevated ambient temperatures for extended operating periods.

3. Hazardous Areas with High Temperature

Where high temperature is combined with flammable gas, vapor or combustible dust, the lighting solution must address both thermal performance and hazardous-area protection requirements.

High-temperature hazardous-area lighting is therefore not simply an upgraded outdoor fixture.

It is an application-specific solution that must consider:

✓ Maximum ambient temperature, Ta
✓ Hazardous-area classification
✓ Heat-source type and distance
✓ Operating duration
✓ Corrosion and vibration
✓ Required illuminance and mounting layout

THT-EX provides heat-ready hazardous-area lighting solutions for demanding industrial environments, with selected models available for ambient temperatures up to 120°C.

High Ambient. High Process Heat. High Reliability.

Contact THT-EX to discuss the right lighting configuration for your operating conditions.
